Turning the Tide
Uki sighed. "Man, it's pretty boring today... Can't think of anything to do at all..."
Tel was just staring into space. That or he was looking in the general direction of the urban city scenery in front of him. He was bored too. Usually, he'd be the one who would think of the clever pranks, big or small. Today was a special day (Sunday, actually), though. Once a week, him and Uki would set up a huge prank which would make a foundation and inspiration for the rest of the week's pranks. However, today, Tel couldn't think of anything. He felt like they did every possible prank he could think of. His mind was blank.
"Maybe I should start thinking up my own, too... But I can't think of anything right now..." Uki said, his voice filled ennui.
Tel just kept looking on, ignoring his friend's whining. His eyes wandered down to the people below. He caught sight of Ryuu in front of a yakitori stand (he thought it was strange that he was just standing there but the seller talked and acted like he was buying something). Wonder what Ryuu's doing... wonder what he's thinking... he has that look on his face... Tel thought. Then he was hit an idea, finally.
"Hey Uki!" he said, wrapping his arm around him.
"You thought of something!?" he replied in excitement.
"Uh, no." he said flatly.
"...Then wha-"
"I know who can think for us!" Tel pointed downwards towards the people below to show his friend, "See down there? The yakitori stand? It's Ryuu. Ryuu's pretty good at thinking up strategy and tactical plans right on the spot, right? So all we need is his help!"
Uki put his finger on his chin in thought. Then he said, "Help for inspiration, right? ...And I know just how to do that."
-------------------------------------------------------
He didn't know how it happened or why it happened, but for some reason, somehow, Ryuu ended up in a pile of... womens' underwear.
He was all the more of in shock, especially since Uki and Tel found him already in that pile. He was slightly shaking in fear; he knew what these two were capable of doing.
"Ryuu..."
"W-Wait a second, this isn't what it, I mean, it isn't-"
"Blackmail material." they said simultaneously, grinning sinisterly. Ryuu felt like he lost already. God knows what happens next.
"N-no, wait! This isn't what it-!"
"Ohh, is that right?" Uki started, "So I'm not seeing you sitting in a pile of womens' panties? Ryuu, you little perv, you!"
"W-Wha-"
"Since we didn't see how this happened," Tel said, "we could assume a lot of things. For one, you're trying to cover up the fact that you stole all of these panties from some hot spring house by playing dumb and trying to deny that you did, just as to not be labeled as a pervert and a panty thief by everyone else."
"W-Wait a minute, you can't-"
"Well, who's gonna believe you? Us, the guys who everyone knows spend most of their free time hanging out with each other and playing pranks on others..."
"...Or you, the guy who, whenever he spends his free time outside, might be sleeping, but most of the time doesn't tell anyone where he's going out to, so he could be doing anything? Anything."
Ryuu turned blue. But he tried to fight back. He regained his composition and scowled, "I would be given the benefit of doubt, wouldn't I? Everyone knows that they can't base everything on one side of the story, otherwise the conviction is inaccurate! And besides, who's gonna believe that I'm a pervert!?"
"My my, wonder what Haru would think about this, right Tel?" Uki said suddenly. Ryuu turned blue in shock again at the mention of his brother.
"Oh, that's right! We all know how Haru coddles over his cute little brother!"
"A-As if Nii-san would believe you two!" Ryuu retaliated. "He knows better than to-!"
"Of course, he knows that he can't be biased either."
"He shouldn't believe everything his brother says."
"Ryuu couldn't possibly have done that!!" Uki swooned, mimicking Haru's voice.
Tel did the same, "But what if Ryuu's lying to me? I can't trust him completely!"
"Especially since Tel and Uki are really good friends of mine!"
"And since Ryuu hardly tells me anything about his personal life, his story is hard to believe..."
"Then that means..." Both ended that act with a big finale, "he must have done it!!"
Ryuu shrieked. That kind of scenario ran through his head. It definitely seemed like what Haru would think. He feared for the worst. If they ever told anyone, no one would really give it much thought and shrug it off; they know better. But were they to tell Haru...
He sighed and forfeited. "...A-All right. Fine. You win... I-I'll do anything you ask..."
"Anything?" they said in sync.
"Anything, so long as Nii-san knows nothing about this incident..."
They grinned once more, grinned like a fox. "Perfect!"
