Book
He missed them.
He missed the pleasure he derived from reading, the way he focused all his attention on the book, the way he would be sucked into worlds awaiting him in the pages.
He’d enjoyed his father telling him stories when he was younger, but now it was different. Shion or someone else reading to him just wasn’t the same as his own eyes raking over the paper, his own hands turning the page, his own mind reading the words.
It was like a part of him died that day.
He missed lots, but he missed books the most.
