Fairy Tale
"Didn't you say that you mother told you this story because she wanted you to-"
"H-hey, you promised you wouldn't mention that in public!"
She huffed as she walked purposefully around the library. She was not stalking about the place, she was not! Still, it infuriated her that she couldn't find it anywhere. Perhaps it was time she gave up…
No, no, she would not let a bunch wooden shelves best her. She was going to find that book and that was final!
Arriving at one of the numerous shelves that dotted the library, she began to flick through the tomes with a practiced elegance. She didn't hold out much hope though, she'd already searched this shelf. Three times. She'd searched all the other shelves that she thought it might have been misplaced in as well. No luck.
Sighing as she came to the end of the final row with nothing to show for it except exponentially more dusty sleeves, she straightened up and gave the book repository a sweeping glance. As much as she wanted to read that particular story, there was only so far she was about to go for it, and searching the entire library from top to bottom wasn't exactly high on her 'To Do List'.
It looked like she was going to have to end up eating her thoughts.
Chuckling at the oddity of that mental image she turned heel and drifted gracefully from the library. Perhaps she would ask Gryff to recount it to her, he certainly remembered enough of it, and she could think of worse ways she could pass an evening than listening to that particular tale with him.
