He hadn’t realized when he’d fallen for her.
He had quite enjoyed her company at first, listening to her talk about anything she could think of. He’d smile when she was teased about her height, although he himself didn’t tease her.
“You’re in love with her- even Shadow noticed.”
“…”
“What’s holding you back?”
“What about you?”
A start. Then, “She’ll always be my older yet shorter sis, and you, my best friend.”
He asks, “Do you think she returns the feeling?”
“You can be really daft, you know that?” A laugh.
“She loves you. More than you’ll ever know.”
